As a Boutique Digital Agency when it comes to working with any company or brand; the first thing we do is place ourselves in their shoes, we find out, how it fits, does the heel click, does the sole rub the wrong way. After that we then try to look at the company or brand as our own and what we would do with it, from there we follow the next 3 steps.
The first stage of our process is to IMAGINE. Our team applies three factors that contribute to the makeup of one of our projects – Ideas, Audience, Branding. Our experience shows these factors play a crucial role in the success of our goal.
Ideas fly around the 89Ninety studio on a daily basis, with each given it’s time to seed and then through consideration, we break down what we feel works and what doesn’t. We don’t rush anything we do, as we always set out to bring the perfect idea that will best suit our client. Many times several ideas are deconstructed and the parts we really like we take and rebuild them into something better.
Target groups are becoming smaller, more specific and more agile. With such fluctuating demographics, what we do in 89Ninety, is firmly root ourselves in the core audience, the key words, we allow a company to completely envelop around us and aim to find new ways we can be there, while appealing to a global audience, or in some cases a very local audience. But we always make sure that our audience always begins at a clients home.
When approaching a project we think of the branding that would fit into our goal, and those that would appeal to our perspective audience. We then research them, their competitors and how they are presented online, in print and on tv and we look to see where we can bring it originally, that offers something exciting to the audience and something new to the clients we work with. We believe that first and foremost any company should bring humanity and emotion to what they do, unlike some companies, we know consumers aren’t mindless robots who click, we endeavour to find out what makes them click, not just on a hyperlink.
Only once we are happy with our IMAGINATION stage and we feel truly happy that we know and understand how we want our idea to work do we progress onto the planning stage. We aim to come up with the most creative solution to creating our concept. In the end, our ideas only matter if they work, that’s why at this stage we look at both Little Brain and Big Brain concepts, and how both the short and long term will integrate with our client’s goals.
We call our short term planning little brain, it’s the obvious stuff, it’s the basics. It’s the stuff you at the very least expect to do right! Does a website function the way it should? Does it provide a clean User Experience that’s easy to navigate? Are we seeing SEO working to our advantage? If these aren’t going our way already these are the short term issues that need to be resolved in the planning stage.
When the concept has gone through the little brain stage – we crucially take a break from it, we walk away, clear our minds and focus on the core concept of the client. We forward think, we look at upcoming trends, we aim to remain agile. Can we leverage new technologies or even just new technologies to the client that can create a long term path to success. We take this break so we can have fresh eyes on what the end user will deal with, what they experience currently, and what we can offer, we take this fresh perspective and apply it to our planning and then we are ready to build.
Finally, after we have progressed through the Imagination and Plan stage, our creative team of web designers, app developers, film-makers, digital marketers, graphic designers, photographers, take the Imagination and Plan stages and bring them to life. We present to our client how we see their company moving forward and how we can help them achieve their goals.
Our Create team is made up of individuals who strive for greatness, those who wish to create products and work with brands that engage, inspire and entertain. Our studio is a lively place, that is open throughout the night, filled with a whole lot of big screens and bigger ideas.
In short, we strongly believe in the power of design and aesthetics. That’s why our Create section has the same weight as Imagine and Plan. Combined they make products that simply work the way we imagined them to, and help our clients succeed in their goals.
This is the easiest part of the process, with decades of experience we take stock of what we have achieved before and research what technology is right at this time to create the service that will not only make us proud but create the biggest impact on our clients audience and for driving success to their business.
